Winter wonderland around Schneiderwirt in the Upper Bavarian region of Chiemsee-Alpenland

Alongside the classic winter sports activities such as Alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing, our Upper Bavarian lake and mountain landscape offers a multitude of wintry pleasures. Tobogganing on Heuberg with the whole family, ice-skating at the ice rinks in Bad Aibling and Rosenheim or on the natural ice on one of the numerous lakes. If you prefer to be out and about away from the pistes and cross-country skiing trails, the enchanting winter landscape invites you to go snowshoe and winter hiking. Of course, our huts which warm you up again with something warm & delicious from the Bavarian kitchen are also popular in winter. You can also replenish your warmth after active hours in the snow in our hot springs. In the run-up to Christmas, the numerous and atmospheric Christmas markets put young and old in a Christmas spirit.

 

Skiing

Winter sports fun for the whole family

All skiers and snowboarders can also find their pleasure on the pistes around Schneiderwirt. In the Sudelfeld ski area, in Germany's largest connected ski area, everyone from beginner to expert can find their perfect descent on 32 kilometres of pistes. Young & old also feel good at the Oberaudorf - Hocheck ski & tobogganing area. Here, you can also indulge in night skiing on 4 days of the week and let off steam on Germany’s longest floodlit piste. In addition, there are 3 ski schools at the Oberaudorf ski area for improving your abilities and your skiing technique. Anyone who prefers things sporty and challenging will be particularly happy at the Wendelstein ski area. Tirol’s neighbouring ski areas also present themselves for your skiing pleasure.
